TITLE IX AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

objective

 

The goal of this project was to develop a comprehensive awareness campaign for Georgia College & State University’s Title IX department. The campaign ensures that students, faculty, and staff have clear, accessible information on sexual misconduct resources, reporting procedures, and intervention strategies.

TARGET AUDIENCE

  • Students: Encouraged to recognize and prevent misconduct through the bystander intervention series.

  • Faculty & Staff: Given formal materials with institutional branding to understand their roles in reporting and supporting students.

  • Campus Leadership & Administrators: Provided with high-level summaries to support policy enforcement and awareness initiatives.

Education & Awareness: Provide clear guidance on Title IX policies, reporting procedures, and available resources

 

Engagement & Prevention: Encourage proactive bystander intervention through simplified action steps.

      The subject matter is serious, and messaging            needed to be informative without being                    overwhelming or intimidating.

  • Emotional Connection: Visuals incorporated diverse student imagery to foster relatability and inclusivity.

- Institutional green and blue for faculty-facing materials to establish authority.

- Bright, engaging hues for student-focused designs to capture attention in          high-traffic areas.

- Calming blues and greens in discreet locations (such as restrooms) to                encourage private reflection.

1   Research & Planning:

  • Reviewed Title IX policies, student behavior trends, and effective communication strategies for sensitive topics.​

  • Identified key locations for physical materials and digital touchpoints for maximum visibility.

2  Design & Development:

  • Developed a suite of materials aligned with audience-specific messaging.

  • Created a visual system differentiating informational, intervention-focused, and action-based content.

3   Implementation & Deployment:

  • Distributed materials in high-traffic areas and private spaces for discreet access.

  • Integrated QR codes linking to additional digital resources for extended engagement.

  • Launched a coordinated social media campaign reinforcing key messages.
